It seems like everyone is digging deep into their pockets th

It seems like everyone is digging deep into their pockets these days, but did you know that by cutting corners, and making little sacrifices along the way, you can find an extra $1,500 to $2,500 a month? If you don’t put a lot of miles on your car, check with your insurance provider about a discount – some companies will decrease their premiums if you drive fewer miles. Try going on a “restaurant diet” and limit the number of times per week you eat out. This can save you anywhere from $300 to $500 a month. Entertain at home, vs. “in town” and save another $200 to $300. You can always Do it Yourself too! Cut your own lawn, clean your own gutter/windows and your own home and you’ll have $200 to $400 more to spend on the necessities.

David and Jonathan Murray are twin financial contributors who have tips on how you can stretch the dollar, from changing your ATM habits, to unlocking more savings from your car.

Talent/Guest: David Murray, Financial Advisor
A national financial commentator and a 20 year veteran in the investment management business, David has worked for some of the nation’s leading money management organizations. Over his career, he has raised and retained over $6 billion in individual and institutional assets for 3 mutual fund companies, an NYSE brokerage firm, and an exclusive private bank. Since 2003, Dave and his identical twin brother Jonathan have appeared regularly as financial contributors for CNBC, The Today Show, MSNBC, and Fox News, where they cover current economic conditions, investment themes, personal finance, and wealth management strategies. David holds a BS degree from Dickinson College. He currently resides in Birmingham, Michigan with his wife and three children.

Talent/Guest: Jonathan Murray, Financial Advisor
With over 20 years of investment experience, Jonathan is a widely-acclaimed financial expert, serving as the daily financial analyst on WBAL Radio in Baltimore. Along with his twin brother, Jonathan appears regularly on The Today Show, FOX News, and MSNBC, where they discuss current economic conditions, investment themes, and wealth management strategies. Their recent book, “Two For the Money: A Guide for Balancing Retirement, Kids, and Aging Parents,” is now available in paperback. Jonathan is frequently quoted in The N.Y.Times, The Baltimore Sun and The Baltimore Business Journal. He is a lecturer for the Loyola College MBA program, the University of Maryland and for Johns Hopkins University. Jonathan graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Jonathan and his wife live in the Pinehurst community of Baltimore with their two sons.
