CNBC’s Diana Olick, Susan Wachter of Wharton Business School, Carl Horowitz of the National Legal and Policy Center and CNBC’s Tyler Mathisen last week discussed the fact that banks and homeowners are increasingly choosing not to go through the foreclosure process. Instead, homeowners are voluntarily giving their homes to the bank. Horowitz said that allowing homeowners to avoid the foreclosure process implies that there are no negative consequences to not paying a mortgage. Wachter said mortgage servicers receive incentives for allowing some mortgages to fall into foreclosure. Jonathan trades multiple Mar 2009 YM contracts. One third of that size is offset at +8, one third is offset at +16 and the last third is offset as a ‘runner’, or allowed to make profits with a break even or trailing stop. Jonathan’s stop loss is; -8, -16, -20. Jonathan may say ‘runner on the table’, which means the last third of his contract size is still active. For example; if Jonathan buys 3 YM contracts at 1000, he offsets at 1008, 1016 and the third runs until stopped out at break even (1000) or continues to trail using recent highs/lows and indicators as references.

During the Jagriti Yatra a number of debates are being staged and televised by CNBC TV18, a national Indian television channel. In Hyderabad the Yatris discuss health provision in India. The music you hear is the Yatri Geet (song), created especially for the journey by guru song-writer Prasoon Joshi and sung by Bollywood star, Babul Supriyo. Played at the end of every media debate, the Geet is accompanied by a dance performed by every one of the 350 Yatris. Choreographed by Gauri at the beginning of the Yatra, the energy the Yatris bring to the dance is remarkable. The words to the Geet can be summarised and roughly translated as: ‘Come on, let’s go! Face the future. Time for change.’
