Deputies tell WINK News they are investigating a report of a lottery scam Friday afternoon in East Naples.

Collier County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report that a woman fell victim to a lottery scam in East Naples. Patricia Mendez, 34, of East Naples, told deputies two Hispanic women approached her at a North Naples grocery store around 3 p.m. Friday, claiming they had a winning lottery ticket but needing the woman’s help to get it cashed.
