MIDDLETOWN – Pennsylvania will begin selling tickets for the Mega Millions multi-state jackpot game on Jan. 31, Lottery Executive Director Ed Trees announced Tuesday.

CORDELE — Crisp County Sheriff’s Department deputies have made an arrest in connection with the late December theft of a large quantity of lottery tickets from Andy’s Food Mart on U.S. 41 N.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY | The Brunswick Sheriff’s Office has received reports of a telephone scam involving lottery winnings and transaction fees, according to a news release. Lt. Marty Folding with the sheriff’s office said anyone who is asked to send money for an international lottery should contact the police immediately.

Lottery officials say tickets for the multistate Mega Millions jackpot will soon be available to Pennsylvania residents.

Pennsylvania Lottery retailers will begin selling Mega Million tickets on Jan. 31 in response to lottery players’ request for more chances to win bigger jackpots, said Lottery executive director Ed Trees.

One winning ticket was sold for Monday night’s $100,000 cashpot in the Washington State Lottery’s Hit 5 game while the $5.2 million Lotto jackpot went unclaimed.
