The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports has announced a lottery for people who want to participate in the five-mile run.

Arizona ranks near the bottom of per-capita lottery ticket sales compared with other states with similar games, according to a new audit. Of 28 states included in the audit, Arizona ranked 24th in per-capita revenue, with sales of $73 per person.

The Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts will hold its first lottery for admission tonight at the school, 3411 Semmes Ave. in South Richmond. The charter school, scheduled to open in July, received more than 250 applications for the 130 seats that will be open during its first year. The school plans to increase enrollment to 350 students by the 2012-13 school year.
